We are very excited to provide our NEW pick-your-own experience on our farm. Your family will enjoy the option of picking their own vegetables, sweet corn, popcorn, fruit, or cut flowers. With over 10,000 fall garden mums, you will be able to find that perfect fall mum. Our fields are easily reachable by a short  walk.

 

Why PYO

Enjoy a trip to the country, the fresh air and the quiet! Children can learn first hand how plants grow and what freshly picked produce taste like! You not only get to pick out your very own produce or plants, but you can save money by picking your own.

 

Know Before You Arrive

• Wear light-colored, cool, loose fitting, cotton clothes.

• Wear closed-toe shoes, like tennis shoes or boots to walk in our fields.

• We recommend bringing a pair of gardening gloves because some vegetables have prickly vines.  

• Wear and bring with you sunscreen, a hat or visor and sunglasses.

• Bring plently of bottled water to drink.

• Bring coolers with ice packs if you plan on picking for more than an hour or two or if it is a very hot day.

• If needed, we will provide containers and a wagon to haul your harvest from the field.

• We will place your berries or vegetables in plastic bags after you are finished picking.

• You may bring your own containers. Ice cream buckets are ideal for smaller items.

• A picnic area and restroom access is available.

• Once you arrive, please check in with someone at our farm to receive a map and picking instructions. 

 

2015 PYO Strawberries

Strawberries are sold by weight. A quart equals about 1-1/2 pounds of fresh berries. An ice cream bucket holds about 5 pounds of fresh strawberries. We will weigh the strawberries for you and calculate your total.

2015 PYO Vegetable Prices 

Pick your own vegetables may be mixed and matched in container. We will provide you containers to pick you vegetables in and we will bag them when you are done picking. 

• $20 for 1/2 bushel

 

2015 PYO Flowers 

We do not sell or supply buckets or containers for taking your picked flowers home, so please bring your own buckets or containers. We will supply floral bouquet wraps if needed.  

• Prices range from $.50 - $1.50 per stem depending on the variety

• $15 - $20 per 5-gallon bucket of flowers
